Ron Eberhart,Ron

a native of Colorado, has been involved in photography since he was a youth.  When he was 12 years old, he was given his first camera for Christmas and immediately fell in love with taking photographs. The camera was a Kodak Brownie that used 127 film and was remarkable for a simple box camera. He still has enlargements and slides from his early work with this camera that remind him of how early his love of photography began. One of his first self-assignments was to document the devastation from the 1965 flood that swept through the Denver area. Over the years, his equipment has changed considerably from the Kodak Brownie, but his love of capturing God’s creations has grown.

While many photographers explore very exotic places and subjects, Ron prefers to capture scenes from everyday experiences. He finds it rewarding to seek out the beauty in the simplicity of everyday life.  A morning sunrise, fog lying across a field, or some colorful new flowers are daily delights that keep him constantly aware of the beauty that surrounds us all. On very snowy days when most everyone like to be inside, he yearns to drive off and experience it. He finds it refreshing and relaxing to notice and appreciate the simple things that are overlooked in the fast paced world we live in.

When asked what photography means to him, Ron explained  “I see emotions in my mind when I snap a photo.  It is rewarding to hear people compliment me on taking good photos, but the moments that really touch my heart are times when someone looks at a photo, smiles, then gets lost in the image.  I know I have done my job by bringing people an experience that takes them there and lets them stand in my footprints.”

Ron has been published in National Geographic Traveler magazine and has won a variety of photo contests over the years including the 2004 Natures Best. He has sold to both individuals and corporations alike providing customized photos to suit personal tastes.
